Risk Data Analyst

About the role



We're looking for a Risk MI Analyst to join our Enterprise Risk Management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape how risk information is managed, reported and used across NFU Mutual.



Working at the heart of our Risk Division, you'll support the ongoing operation and development of our risk management framework and systems, ensuring colleagues across the business have access to high quality risk information, insight and reporting. You'll work with large and varied datasets, producing meaningful management information that supports informed decision-making, strengthens governance and helps ensure we continue to meet our regulatory obligations.



A significant part of the role will involve maintaining and developing reporting from our risk management system, analysing trends, identifying themes and presenting information in a clear and engaging way for a range of audiences. You'll help create and improve dashboards, support governance activities and work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure risk information remains accurate, relevant and actionable.



You'll also play an important role in maintaining elements of the Group Risk Management Framework, supporting the management of risk documentation, governance materials and processes that underpin effective risk management across NFU Mutual. This is a role where you can genuinely make an impact, identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and help shape how the team operates in the future.



This role is referred to internally as Risk Analyst.




About you



You're naturally curious, highly organised and enjoy turning data into meaningful insight that supports better business decisions. You'll be comfortable working with large volumes of information, identifying trends and presenting findings in a way that's clear, practical and tailored to different audiences.



You'll have experience working with management information, reporting, governance or risk-related data and enjoy improving processes, maintaining standards and helping stakeholders make informed decisions. This role is likely to suit someone with experience in risk management, governance, compliance, operational risk, controls, management information or reporting environments, rather than purely statistical, modelling or actuarial-focused roles.



We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have:

• Knowledge of risk management principles and frameworks


• Experience using a risk management system


• Power BI or equivalent reporting tools


• Strong Microsoft Office skills


• Experience producing management information and stakeholder reporting


• Insurance or financial services experience (desirable)

You'll also demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities, alongside exceptional organisation, time management and attention to detail. You'll be confident analysing information and presenting insight in a clear, engaging and audience-appropriate way.
