Description



DPC Accountants, part of the Sumer Group, are looking to appoint an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their growing team in Stoke-on-Trent.



This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who is AAT Level 3 or 4 qualified/studying and looking to develop their career within a well-established accountancy firm.




The Role



As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will work closely with a portfolio of clients and be responsible for:

• Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements


• Producing management accounts


• Preparing and submitting VAT returns


• Assisting with bookkeeping and general accounts work


• Dealing with client queries and building strong client relationships


• Supporting more senior members of the team


• Working across a range of accounting software, including Sage, Xero and QuickBooks

The Person



We are looking for someone with:

• AAT Level 3 or Level 4, or currently studying towards AAT/ACA/ACCA


• Previous accountancy practice experience - essential


• Experience preparing accounts and VAT returns


• Good technical accounting knowledge


• Strong communication and organisational skills


• A proactive approach and willingness to develop


• Experience with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or IRIS would be advantageous
