GatenbySanderson is partnering with a large and ambitious local authority seeking an experienced
Head of HR Operations and Employment Services to lead the delivery and transformation of its employment services function.

Description



You will provide leadershipacross a broad portfolio including:

• HR operations and employee services


• Recruitment, resourcing and workforce planning


• HR systems, data quality and workforce intelligence


• Learning administration and employee lifecycle processes


• Agency workforce management and IR35 compliance


• Occupational Health, Employee Assistance Programmes and DBS services


• Service transformation and continuous improvement

Leading a sizeable operational team, you will ensure services are efficient, compliant and customer centred, whilst using insight, technology and data to improve organisational decision making and workforce outcomes.




Description



We are looking for a senio HR leader with substantial experience operating within a complex public sector environment.



You will bring:

• A strong track record of leading HR operations, employee services or shared services functions.


• Experience of delivering high-performing customer-focused services with clear performance measures and service standards.


• Strong knowledge of recruitment and resourcing strategies, workforce data and HR systems.


• Experience of managing external contracts and suppliers, ideally including agency workforce arrangements.


• The ability to work confidently with senior leaders, elected members and a wide range of stakeholders.


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn workforce data into meaningful insight that informs organisational decisions.
