And now someone else left JPMorgan's leaky London rates team

As we have written here, JPMorgan's EMEA rates team has suffered some departures. Now there's been another one.

Ashok Venkiteswaran is understood to have left JPMorgan's EMEA rates exotics trading team. His whereabouts are unknown. JPMorgan declined to comment and Venkiteswaran didn't respond to a request to comment. There were tentative suggestions that he is en route to Goldman Sachs, but this is not thought to be so.

Venkiteswaran is the latest departure from JPMorgan's London team. Victoria Harris, the head of EMEA rates exotics trading, is thought to have left the desk last week and Badr Mernissi, JPMorgan's global head of non-linear rates trading left the week before.

Their exits follow those of Fiona Portington, a senior rates trader who left in late 2024, and of Alexandre Critien in Paris. Venkiteswaran's exit is thought to be unrelated but it seems that JPMorgan has gaps to fill.

Venkiteswaran was once at Deutsche Bank, where he worked for 10 years before leaving for BMO and then joining JPMorgan in 2019. At DB he worked with Kilian Frensch, who's now at UBS. UBS has gaps to fill too. Venkiteswaran is not thought to be filling them.
